Charles Atkinson Collection
The photos below date mostly to 1947-1949. They belonged to Charles Atkinson, who crewed on board the Viking. This collection is kindly shared by his daughter Elise Atkinson.
Most have writing on the back, which is transcribed. The majority are Charles' some are Elise's. Additional notes in square brackets.
The man referred to as "the master" is Cyril Headland, who took over ownership of the Viking from his father in 1930.
