Sanks after being swamped off Oriental Bay or Jerningham in 1885, resulting in the death of Alfred Urwin. Those on board were a syndicate of employees of the NZ Times: Urwin, Joseph Kilfoy, Robert Prince and Harry Mason. The wreck was salvaged several days later. Urwin's body was never found.
